(That's me!)
Taken at the 2023 Sierra Conference
I am a PhD candidate in Andreas Albrecht's group at the University of California, Davis where I am also a member of the Center for Quantum Mathematics & Physics. I am interested in a host of fundamental questions, from the nature of dark energy and physics of the early universe to the emergence of classicality from an underlying quantum theory. Thus, my research spans a wide array of topics in cosmology and quantum information/foundations, as well as at their intersection. You can learn more about my work in the Research tab.
I grew up in Karachi, Pakistan and came to the US to attend college at the University of Richmond as a Richmond Science Scholar. And though I love Karachi, a piece of my soul lives in the northern Karakorams.
I feel passionately about expanding science in the developing world and have been involved in various science outreach efforts in both rural and urban Pakistan. You can learn more about some of these in the SciComm tab.
